The Last Dinner Party by Carly M. Duncan

This book will suck you in from the first word. A woman is found murdered in her home that seems to be well loved and a great hostess. But as the story unfolds you are really not sure who could be a the murderer or just a grieved.

The detectives Anna and Kristy are set in a simpler time and are blazing new territory as two lead female detectives. They are working toward building a partnership which develops throughout the case.

Duncan does a great job of creating a web of mystery. Her characters are well established and you can place yourself as an observer to the scenes in the book. I hope there are more books about Anna and Kristy in the future.

If you like Tana French, mysteries, and crime novels this book is a great choice for you.
