You Shook Me All Night Long Review

1980

You don’t need a time machine to travel back to the 80’s. All you need to do is grab a copy of You Shook Me All Night Long by Casey L. Bond. This book is so good that I read it in one setting last night (read way past my bedtime) because I wanted to see how it ended. This book is definitely worth the read.

Tina is a college freshman who is on her own for the first time in her life at USC. She is soon enticed by her roommate who talks her into a night on the town that will change her life. She soon meets up with an older guy named Luke that catches her eye. Needless to say a very adventurous night takes place complete with running from the law.

The characters in this book are so well developed that you are drawn in from the beginning. The story is told in a way that you feel your there and watching all the bad hair-dos and choking on the Aqua Net fumes. Casey L. Bond did a great job of recapturing those nostalgic feelings.

So get your e-readers charged because you won’t want them to go dead before the book is finished. We reminiscence through this book some of the hard lessons we learn in life. Especially the hardest one of all when a friend isn’t really a friend at all. So get ready to relive the 80’s and plan a night of reading, you can wear the sweatband, leg warmers, and jam out to the classics and relax.
