Review: Midnight Crossroad

I am a huge fan of Charlaine Harris. When I saw that NBC was releasing a  Midnight, Texas television series then I knew this one was my next read. She is one of my favorite fellow Arkansans when it comes to writing and I am super fan.

Harris writes stories about the supernatural just like her small town in Arkansas is filled with them. She is so creative in how she develops her characters and their backstories. This series in no exception. I read this book in one night and I cannot wait to watch the next. I do have my DVR recording the show for viewing later. I am a firm believer in the book is always better.

Manfred Bernadino moves to the small town of Midnight, Texas to have a sort of independence, fresh start, and to focus on his work as a psychic. When he learns he is not the only one with supernatural abilities and he has chosen a town of other unique individuals, the story begins. I cannot say too much because I do not want to spoil the story for you.

Whether you watch the show or not, the book is a must read!
